Panelist in Global RoRo Community(GRC) Seminar

On November 28, 2025, Global RoRo Community(GRC*) Seminar, organized by GRC was held in Tokyo.
The meeting was held to explain the latest regulatory trends in international shipping and how to calculate GHG emissions for international RoRo ships formulated by GRC, and many stakeholders such as shipping companies and shippers participated.
The City of Yokohama Port and Harbor Bureau participated in this seminar as a panelist, and introduced the efforts to implement next-generation marine fuel at the Port Yokohama and the issues of Japan's bunkering business.

*Global Ro-Ro Community (GRC) was established in April 2024, and is composed mainly of major Ro-Ro operators such as NYK, MOL, K-Line, WALWIL and Eastern Car Liner, which account for approximately 80% of the world's automobile transport capacity.
GRC are going to establish uniform standards to accelerate the decarbonization process within the Ro-Ro shipping industry, creating common ground for fair competition between carriers in terms of scope 3 accounting.
