The opening days of the following facilities will change as of April 1, 2024.

Beehives, Early Detection, and Removal!

Nests of hornets and paper wasps start forming in spring and grow larger through summer. Check around your house to see if any beehives have formed. Kankyō Eisei-gakari (Environmental Sanitation Section) of the Naka Ward Administration Office provides explanations of removal methods, lends protective clothing, and offers guidance on exterminators (for a fee).

Mosquito Caution!

Mosquitoes not only cause itching when they bite, but also transmit infectious diseases like dengue fever. Make efforts to create an environment where they are less likely to breed regularly. When going out, take measures such as using insect repellent and wearing long sleeves to avoid being bitten.

Event Information

Yokohama Sparkling Twilight 2024

Five-minute fireworks display embellishing the night sky over the port. We plan to hold around 27 days of launches, the largest in the Greater Tokyo Area, until March 2025. Together with events held around Yokohama Port, we aim to further enhance the liveliness of the city and stimulate the economy throughout the year.

Inclusive Sports Trial Event

We will be hosting an inclusive sports experience event where anyone can easily enjoy inclusive sports. Additionally, there are plans for sales of bread, sweets, and miscellaneous goods by facilities for persons with disabilities.

43rd Yokohama Port Opening Festival

Under the theme "Celebrating the Port's Opening, Showing Gratitude to the Harbor", Yokohama Port Opening Festival began as a 'Citizen Festival' where citizens gather.
We have prepared numerous programs that can be enjoyed by anyone, from stage events to children's carnival games.

Garden Necklace Yokohama 2024

Please visit Yamashita Park and Harbor View Park, where you can enjoy cherry blossoms, tulips, and roses along with a view of the port, Satoyama Garden with its large flower beds decorated with Yokohama-grown flowers, as well as other attractions throughout the city.

Many Artists Exhibiting in Japan for the First Time  The 8th Yokohama Triennale Kicks Off!

This is an international exhibition of contemporary art held once every three years. This year, work of art will appear in familiar places such as train stations and commercial facilities, making it easier to enjoy art.
