Water services (problems and tap water quality tests)(水道(故障・水質検査))

If you are experiencing water service-related problems

Whenever possible, the Waterworks Bureau will fix any water service-related problems which occur along roads on the side of the water meters in residential areas (for example, water is welling up into your garden, you have pools of water that you cannot get rid of, etc.). Please contact Yokohama Waterworks Bureau Customer Service Center if you wish to request repair work. Please ensure that concrete etc. in areas of repair is restored to its original state.
Please note that the Waterworks Bureau cannot fix any water service-related problems which occur from the meter to the customer's taps (water does not stop running from kitchen taps, toilet water keeps running, etc.). In such cases, please contact one of the City of Yokohama's designated plumbing companies for assistance.

Tap water quality tests

The Waterworks Bureau carries out free tap water quality tests in customers' homes.
Please apply to Yokohama Waterworks Bureau Customer Service Center if you would like to have your water quality tested.
