40th Anniversary of Sister Ports Agreement between Vancouver and Yokohama!

We held a 40th anniversary ceremony online for the first time.

This year, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of Sister Ports Agreement between the Port of Vancouver and the Port of Yokohama since the conclusion of sister ports agreement in 1981.The Port of Vancouver is the second oldest sister port to the Port of Yokohama.Until now, we have deepened exchanges with the Port of Vancouver by holding joint seminars and exchanges staffs mutually, and have developed a friendly relationship between the ports Vancouver and Yokohama.

Online ceremony for the 40th anniversary of Sister Ports Agreement

On 6th August 2021, we connected online with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and held our first online anniversary event. We have updated the Memorandum of Understanding on mutual understanding and strengthening of cooperation to mitigate the impacts on climate change and ensure the long-term prosperity of both ports.
