Preventing the spread of new coronavirus infections Be Mindful of How You Spend the Year-end and New Year’s Holidays To halt further spread of new coronavirus infections, creation of new and serial clusters must be prevented. Especially during the year-end/New Year period, gatherings involving drinking increase and new infection clusters are often the result. It is important for each of us, throughout the period, to remain conscious of the “five scenes” that increase the risk of infection, and to understand how to enjoy gatherings while lowering the risk. Let’s work together and prevent the spread of infections. Five scenes increasing the risk of infection ① Social gatherings and the like involving drinking ② Eating and drinking with many people, or for long periods ③ Conversations without wearing masks ④ Living together in small spaces ⑤ Moving around within a workplace (going to a break room, smoking room, etc.) How to enjoy gatherings while lowering the risk of infection ① Drink with fewer people and for shorter times, if possible, with those with whom you regularly spend time; drink in moderation and avoid “pub-crawling.” ② Do not share chopsticks or cups. ③ Sit diagonally as much as possible, not face-to-face or side-by-side. ④ Wear a mask during conversations, as much as possible. ⑤ Select places with strong preventive measures, including proper ventilation. ⑥ Do not attend if you feel unwell or weak. 横浜市 新型コロナ Search Please check the City of Yokohama website for the latest information on new coronavirus infections.   Year-end and New Year Information Collection of Garbage, Recyclables, and Bulky Waste No collection From December 31 (Thur.) through January 3 (Sun.) ※ For details of collection schedules, see the signs and posters displayed at collection sites. ※ On days of collection near the end of this year and early next year, take the garbage to the collection site no later than 8:00 a.m., and do not deposit any garbage there after the collection.
