Vaccinations at large-scale venues

Important notice

While the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced on August 26 that some of the COVID-19 Takeda/Moderna vaccine had been contaminated by a foreign substance, the city has confirmed that the batches of vaccine sent to Yokohama were not among the contaminated vials.

The vaccines at the large-scale Yokohama HAMMERHEAD venue are not affected, so if you are scheduled to get the vaccine there, please visit the venue with peace of mind.

How to get there from the closest station

(1) Minatomirai Line
10 minute walk from Bashamichi Station
12 minute walk from Minatomirai Station

(2) JR Negishi / Keihin-Tohoku Line
15 minute walk from Sakuragicho Station

A shuttle bus service is planned that will depart from Sakuragicho Station to the venue every 5 minutes (travel time of about 10 minutes).

Dates and times in operation

From June 6 (Sunday) to July 31 (Saturday)

Every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Venue opens at 8:30 a.m.)
However, the venue will provide vaccines to residents of certain age groups on certain dates. See the "Appointments" for details.

The venue will used the vaccine developed by Moderna.

Appointments will be taken and vaccines administered to two groups: residents 75 and older, and ages 65-74.

Please access the website via Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or other web browser. Follow the instructions in the manual below to make appointments on the dedicated appointment booking website. Appointment site manual. （PDF：1,277KB）(Japanese) Even when new appointments are not being taken, users can access the website while it is open (from 9 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.) to pre-register their email address, create appointment tickets, and cancel appointments. When making an appointment for the large-scale vaccination venue, input “large-scale” ( 大規模 ) into the search field for “Find a vaccination venue.”

Important notes

Residents getting the vaccination at the large-scale venue will get 2 shots. Making an appointment for the first shot will let you make an appointment for the second shot 4 weeks later at the same appointment time.
The venue opens at 8:30 a.m. Even if you come to the venue early, you will not be able to check in early.

There is no area near the venue to wait for a long period of time, so please do not rush and try to arrive at the venue around 10 minutes before your appointment time.
