In general, COVID-19 vaccinations will be provided to residents in the area indicated as the place they live on their certificate of residence.
However, if you are staying for a long period of time at a location other than the area designated on your certificate of residence due to unavoidable circumstances (such as if you are a worker posted away from your family, a student boarding in a remote location, a pregnant woman returning to your family home to give birth, etc.), you may get the vaccine at a medical facility where you are after notifying the local municipality in advance.
Also, if any of the unavoidable circumstances below apply to you, you may omit the notification.
• Hospitalized/resident patient
• When vaccinated by primary physician due to an underlying condition
• When vaccinated at a specially equipped facility because the risk of side reactions is high
• If getting the vaccine at home from a medical facility outside the municipality
• If the victim of a disaster
• If in detention or custody or are a convict
Where to send notification
Access the COVID-19 Vaccine Navi (run by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) via the URL below, enter the required information, and get the notification certificate for a vaccination outside your registered area of residence.
*Print or take a screenshot of the screen showing the notification certificate for a vaccination outside your registered area of residence, and take it together with the vaccine voucher issued from your resident municipality and a personal ID (such as a driver’s license) to the vaccination venue.

Note that it may take about 10 days from submitting the notification for the certificate to be sent out.

If the address where you are living is different, indicate you wish to receive the certificate at that address by entering it in the space for your return address.
About vaccine appointments
If you wish to get the vaccine at a mass vaccination venue, or at a health care facility using the Yokohama vaccine appointments website or call center, contact the Yokohama Vaccine Appointments Call Center or the COVID-19 Call Center to request to be issued an Appointment ID.
*After being issued an Appointment ID, you will be able to make appointments on the vaccine appointment website or via the Vaccine Appointments Call Center. An Appointment ID is not required if making a vaccination appointment with a health care facility directly.

At present, Yokohama has sent individual notifications to all elderly residents 65 years of age and older.
If you have received a vaccination voucher from another municipality, you will be able to make an appointment once appointments are open for the appropriate age group.
