Residents of Yokohama,
Hello, this is Mayor Yamanaka.
As Omicron continues to spread in Yokohama, the City of Yokohama is working to move forward the schedule for residents to receive their booster vaccinations. We have moved up the schedule for sending vouchers as early as a month, and vouchers for people 65 and over will be sent out starting on January 31st.
Once your vaccination voucher arrives, you will be able to make a reservation for your booster shot. The vouchers will be sent out according to the date of your second vaccination, as seen in this chart. For example, vouchers for people who received their second vaccination between June 7th and 13th will be sent on January 28th or 31st. Vouchers for all 830,000 eligible individuals 65 and over will be sent out by February 21st. Please check the information included with the vouchers on how to make a reservation.
The City of Yokohama will continue to dedicate itself to measures against infectious disease in order to protect the lives and livelihoods of the residents.
