Qualifications（①or②）
①Tax-exempt house holds
- Households that all members are "per capita residential tax-exempt" for 2021 *
- Households registered as residents of Yokohama as of Dec. 10,2021
*Applies to income obtained between Jan.1,2020 and Dec. 31, 2020

②Households with sudden changes in household finances
- Households that all members experienced loss of income after January 2021 to be "equivalent to residential tax-exempt*" due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Households registered as residents of Yokohama at the present moment
*Equivalent to residential tax-exempt refers to each member of the households having estimated annual income (arbitrary monthly income from Jan. 2021 x 12) below the standard* of exemption from residential taxes.
Furthermore, if you do not meet the income requirements, it will be determined based on your annual income.
<Example>
Single person or no dependants: Wage income of 1,000,000 yen or less: Individual with a spouse or one dependent: 1,560,000 yen or less
【ATTENTION!】
If you apply for this benefit and your income decreased due to reasons other than the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be charged with fraudulent benefit receipt (fraud).

Case A ; Households in which all members have been residents of the City of Yokohama since Jan. 1, 2021 or earlier

A confirmation (application form) containing benefit details and confirmation information will arrive by post to the head of the household.
Please fill in the required information and return it by post along with any necessary documents using the included return envelope.

Case B ; Households in which any member has moved to the City of Yokohama on Jan. 2, 2021 or later
- Please download the application form from the City of Yokohama website or obtain it from your local ward office.
- Please fill in the required information and submit it by post along with any necessary documents.
