This is a public service announcement for Yokohama City. This week's edition is on sports centers.
Each of Yokohama City's 18 wards has a sports center.
The sports centers have sports halls for playing basketball and volleyball etc, training rooms equipped with training machines, and instruction rooms for meetings and light exercise, so a variety of sports can be enjoyed.
The sports centers hold a variety of sports competitions, sports classes and health classes. Advance application is required, so please enquire with the competition organizer or the sports center.
Sports centers can also be used by individuals and groups.
Individuals can use the training room or, during designated hours for individual use, play table tennis or badminton in the sports halls.
Groups can reserve the sports halls or instruction rooms etc and use them for sports or training workshops.
Opening hours and methods of use differ according to the sports center so please enquire beforehand.
Groups using sports centers must first register on the Yokohama Residents' City Facility User Reservation System. For details, please enquire at the Yokohama Residents' City Facility User Reservation Center (Tel. 045-290-6622).
