  Yamashita PIER

photo The reclamation work for Yamashita Pier began in 1953 and was completed in 1963.

The pier, focusing on conventional cargo, handles mainly the export of metalwork and machine products on Southeast Asia and Middle East/Near East route services.

In September 1992, the Yokohama Air Terminal (YAT) began operation at the pier and was expanded in 1995 to cope with the increase in air cargo.

In May 1993, the operation of 10 tugboat mooring sites began at the waterside embankment of the Berth 3, which stretches alongside of the east breakwater.

Cargo handling volume in 2009 was 293,686 tons.
