Training for Delegates of the Port Authority from the Republic of South Sudan was Implemented in Yokohama

 
The Port of Yokohama implemented a training program in order to enhance and develop port operation and management on December 6, 2011. This was as part of project “Enhancement of Operation and Management Capacity of Inland Waterway in the Republic of South Sudan” hosted by OCDI and JICA. 3 participants received lecture training, visited the container terminal, and looked at the port facilities on the boat in case studies of the Port of Yokohama.

The Project for Enhancement of Operation and Management Capacity of Inland Waterway in the Republic of South Sudan

The goal is to strengthen port operation and management capabilities of the Port of Juba through establishment of port management organization position, institution of organization structure and budget control and execution, maintenance of port facilities, safety and efficient cargo handling and port operation, and statistical analysis. Also to gain knowledge and experience of the Port of Juba has something in common with each port of South Sudan.
