-Friendship Port Activities- The 20th Anniversary Ceremony in Dalian

 
Since the establishment of the Friendship Port agreement between the Port of Yokohama and Port of Dalian on the 5th of September 1990, both ports have built a deeper relationship which lead to mutual developments through exchange visits. On August 26, events were held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the friendship between the two ports in order to confirm our tight relationship and to promote our relationship in the future. At the same time, the staff from the Port of Yokohama were dispatched to the Port of Dalian and studied about the current situation to keep up with the latest developments.

Located on the southern tip of the Liadong Peninsula, the Port of Dalian is the largest trading port in northeastern China. In addition to playing important roles as an exportating port for oil and coal, the port has recently increased the handling of cargo containers.
