-Friendship Ports Exchange- Yokohama Port Delegation visits Shanghai Port

 
Since becoming affiliated as "Friendship Ports" on October 12, 1983, the two ports have strengthened relations through reciprocal visits and informational exchanges. From November 16 to 20, 2009, three members of the staff of Yokohama Port visited Shanghai. During their stay, discussions and exchanges were carried out in fields such as port development and future plan.

Port of Shanghai

A river port which developed on the banks of Yangtze River and its tributary, Huangpu River. The Port of Shanghai achieved remarkable development in accordance with China's rapid economic growth, and is now one of the world's leading container ports. Shanghai Port is Yokohama's biggest trade partner in terms of container volume.
