Buying a city bus pass

When to buy

14 days before start of new period of use
* When buying a new student pass (for the start of a new school year), you need to show some documents. Please check this page for details.
*When buying a new Senior Pass, you need to show an identity document. Please check this page for details.

For bus passes, we recommend using PASMO.

City bus passes can take two forms: PASMO/Suica smart cards and paper passes. Combined bus/subway passes can be either PASMO cards or magnetic passes.
Paper passes cannot be reissued. However, named PASMO cards ("My Suica") can be reissued if lost.
PASMO cards ("My Suica") can store both a bus pass and a train pass at the same time.
When buying a pass, please say if you have a PASMO or Suica card.
An additional 500 yen deposit is required when buying a new PASMO card. This is refunded when you cancel your card.
*Not available in some cases.
