Location of Yokohama

world map Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan, with a population of 3.69 million people. It is located in the metropolitan Tokyo area, which is the center of business, politics, and information in Japan.

Transportation Access

access Yokohama is a mere 25 minutes from Tokyo.
The Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train, which leaves from Shin-Yokohama station, makes traveling to major cities such as Nagoya, Osaka and Hiroshima easy.
Access to international airports is also convenient: 25 min. to Haneda Airport and 90 min. to Narita Airport.
The Port of Yokohama, one of Japan's major ports, offers excellent physical distribution for the city as well.

 

Business Environment

The average cost of office rent in Yokohama is about 60% that of Tokyo. Most companies which have offices in Yokohama cite cost-performance as a reason for coming to the city. In addition, fluctuation of office rent in Yokohama is much less than that of Tokyo.
It is possible to slash fixed costs by relocating to Yokohama, and it would also be easier to forecast business costs in the future.
Located within the metropolitan area, which has a huge market of 42 million people, Yokohama offers a much more reasonable and comfortable office environment.
