Crows are dangerous during breeding season.
When you find a crow nest in the park, please don’t approach！
The breeding season of crows is from the middle of March to June.
During this season, crows have babies in the nest and they often threaten or attack people
who approach their nest in order to protect their young.
When they threaten us, they caw, make noise, and fly around.
If it happens to you, it can be dangerous. Sometimes crows will attack so don’t go closer.
<About removal of crow nests>
- Crows are protected as a wild animal; therefore we need a permission to catch or remove them.
Catching crows without permission is prohibited by law.
- Removal of a crow nest kills the eggs and baby birds in it, therefore permission is required
for catching them
- When you experience repeated threats or attacks by crows, please call Aoba Public Works Office.
*We will put up a sign warning people about the crows.
*If you cannot use the park because of repeated attacks or threats by crows, we will remove
