Feature

The number of thefts increases in December and during New Year Holidays.

The number of thefts increases in December and during New Year Holidays.
Please be very cautious about safety and theft.

There are three major types of thefts in Aoba Ward.

1.Bank transfer fraud
A criminal pretends to be a family member and says that he is in trouble and needs money immediately. When you get a suspicious call, please consult with police first.

2.Purse snatching
When you are walking, a robber approaches you from behind, snatches your bag and runs away.
Robbers tend to target those who are using cell phones or listening to music when walking.
Keep your bag away from the street. Avoid walking on a dark, deserted road and select a brighter road at night.

3.Home break-in sneak thief
In December and New Year Holidays, many people travel or visit friends. We strongly recommend you to double lock your doors and windows to protect against thief when you leave home.

Community associations, merchant’s associations and PTA are coordinating anticrime patrols in this season. How about joining to the patrol?
